Joseph P. Quinlan
Joseph P. Quinlan is a Fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the Paul H. Nitze
School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University. A global economist,
Quinlan specializes in global capital flows, international trade and multinational strategies. He
has extensive experience on Wall Street and in the U.S. corporate sector, and was most
recently a Global Economist with Morgan Stanley from 1994 to 2002. He lectures at New
York University and was appointed as an Eisenhower Fellow in 1998. His publications have
appeared in such venues as Foreign Affairs, The Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal.
He is the author of three books, his most recent being Global Engagement: How American
Companies Really Compete in the Global Economy.
